At any given time there are approximately 11,000 children in foster care in North Carolina. Most of the children have been victims of abuse and neglect and have special emotional, physical, and development needs.
The North Carolina Foster and Adoptive Parent Association (NCFAPA) is statewide association of foster, adoptive and kinship parents, child advocates and others who work together to support the safety, well-being, and permanency of North Carolina’s children. We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization funded primarily through membership dues and donations. We are dedicated to ensuring that every child receives exceptional care while in the foster care system, appropriate and effective services, and ultimately, a safe, permanent and loving home.
Each year, NCFAPA offers an annual training conference for North Carolina’s foster, adoptive and kinship parents. This year’s conference theme, “Magical Moments” will recognize the families who serve our most vulnerable children. The conference seeks to empower families with additional skills and information to assist them in the parenting and care of the children in their homes. Families are also given the opportunity to network with one another and provide support.
NCFAPA would like to invite you to show your support and appreciation for all foster, adoptive and kinship parents in our state while promoting your business or organization.
